Dear Members,
Fairbanks
Republican Women Federated is off to a fantastic 2010!
FRWF’s mission is
to educate, inspire and encourage participation in the political process
through volunteerism. And our club is at the forefront in
On May 6, our annual
fashion show event gives our members and supporters an opportunity to help us
raise the needed funds for us to operate and remain successful as we work hard
on the 2010 elections. To this end, I
hope you will help us make the fashion show a huge success by helping us secure
auction items.
Local businesses
and members of the community all have something wonderful to offer that we can
turn into a terrific auction item. You
can use your local contacts and approach the businesses you support to support
FRWF. By donating an item, not only are
they supporting our efforts, but it is a great way to get their name and
business in front of our influential membership.
Call us at
619-491-4962 to get a donation form. And
if you need ideas about good auction items to go after, please contact Lesley
Barnard and Liz Schulte, our development team.
We know this will be a wonderful event and with your help we can set the
stage for an incredible November election.
Thanks so
much. Remember: Politics makes it possible; women make it
happen!
In 1961, Ronald Reagan joined the American Medical Association in opposing the Democratic Party's attempt to force socialized medicine on the American people.
President Reagan's advice is just as relevant today as it was then. In part, he warned:
"One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It's very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. . . . Now, the American people, if you put it to them about socialized medicine and gave them a chance to choose, would unhesitatingly vote against it." - Ronald Reagan
FRWF has added Ronald Reagan's recorded message to our FRWF YouTube Channel as a "Favorite"
